After last week's look at sportsman Jimmy Wig, I think it is time to look at other sporting/action names that have taken to worshiping at the altar of the Grand Toupee.

First up is Aussie cricketer Doug "The Rug" Bollinger. His nickname when he was bald was unsurprisingly "The Bald Eagle" up to 2008 when he bought his first wig.

To be fair not a bad rug and it certainly makes him look totally different! What is Doug laughing about? The fact his looks better than some other sportsman who are rugsters?

From a reasonably convincing piece to a totally crap one with action hero Sir Ranulph Fiennes!

I hope he didn't wear that dead creature trekking across the Arctic wastes. A polar bear might have seen it, got a bit horny and tried to mate with it. Truly tragic toupee!

We will now return to cricket which seems to attract hairpieces like dead rats up the sporting drainpipe. Here are couple of former England captains that have headed off down the toupee trail:

It is Graham Gooch as nature intended.

Is his moustache false as well? It certainly looks it was stuck on with the same stuff he uses for his toupee.

Next up is Michael Vaughan before the Great Ceremony of the Toupee Attachment.

Off to F1 land now, and if the lads can avert their gaze from the lovely Suzy Perry you will notice a little short bearded fellow with a rug glued on his bonce. Yes, it is F1 pundit Eddie Jordan.
